ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS 2-5

Each of the remainder of the online assignments for Media and Activism form part of a larger project. The idea is that you do part of the project after each session.

In line with the focus of the Media and Activism option, and based on what you learnt during assignment 1, you are asked to devise your own piece of media activism in groups of 3 students. This might be a media product; a campaign, a 'stunt', an 'event', some form of viral marketing, or something of your own devising entirely. The assignments are meant to breakdown as follows:

Online Assignments 2
DESIGN - this is the part where you devise your activist strategy - what are its objectives? who are your target audience? how are you going to achieve it?

Online Assignments 3
MARKET - this is the part where you market your media activism - how will you widen awareness of your activism?

Online Assignments 4
PERFORM - this is when you actually conduct, perform, webcast, carry out you piece of activism

Online Assignments 5
EVALUATE - finally you're asked to evaluate how far you've achieved the objectives you set out in assignment 2; how successful it's been. you should evaluate it by using one of the methodologies we'll cover during the option (i.e. Marxist Analysis; Discourse Analysis; Spatial Analysis)

Details of groups are available on myBU.
