The Media Education Foundation is an American forum devoted to media research and produces resources to aid the fostering of analytical media literacy.
The National Institute on Media and the Family is an American organisation providing resources for those interested in the influence of electronic media on early childhood education, child development, academic performance, culture and violence.
OFCOM is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries, with responsibilities across television, radio, telecommunications and wireless communications services
The Online Media Literacy Project at the University of Oregon has a comprehensive list of links to media research groups worldwide.
The Stirling Media Research Institute and the Department of Film & Media Studies at the University of Stirling have also submitted reports to the Broadcasting Standards Commission concerning the viewing of violence and issues of consent for participation in television programmes.
